“My work is driven by curiosity and a commitment to chasing wherever it leads. It is an attempt to excavate, dissect, and explore in ways that allow each material, and each artwork, to tell its own story of discovery and transformation. My process is an ongoing cycle of construction and destruction, of addition and subtraction. It involves a variety of hand, power, and surgical tools to tear, scrape, cut, burn, scratch, and carve- to alter, and transform material in ways that expose its essential nature and to give it a voice."
